St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral is a remnant of British occupation of Malta. It was commissioned by Queen Adelaide when she discovered
there was no Anglican place of worship. It was built between 1839-1844 and is part of the Church of England's Diocese of Europe with
its cathedral at Gibraltar. There are two other Anglican churches in the country.

Parts of the organ date from a 17th century Swiss instrument but it has been rebuilt and expanded numerous times. A campaign is currently underway to fund important repairs.
