The Inn at Spanish Bay is part of the exclusive Pebble Beach golf resort. Needless to say, John and I fit right in. I'm sure they thought we were there to repair something when we arrived late Saturday night..

The next morning, we took a walk around the grounds after breakfast.

The Inn itself is a cluster of attractive, inobtrusive Mission-style buildings surrounded by beautiful, rustic landscaping.

A series of wooden boardwalks guides you between the buildings and to and from the beach and the golf area.
We followed this trail down towards the beach. In the morning, people jog and walk their dogs. Needless to say, there were also golfers about.
Windswept cypress trees are everywhere. A lone cypress out on a rock in the ocean is the resort's mascot. I didn't get to see it, but Linda did.
Tiny pinkish daisies grew out of the sand along the boardwalk.
As we reached the shore, a fog was rolling in.
It's not reallly a swimming beach.
Another interesting flower that grew along the trail. It was hard to tell what was planted there and what grew on its own.
